Recorded Webinar from June 2, 2020
The use of parallel peptide synthesizers in the manufacture of long and complex peptides and high throughput manufacture
Reliance on Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis has increased dramatically over the decades to keep pace with the rise in the use of peptides in diagnostic and therapeutic research. In parallel, approaches to automated synthesis have evolved in order to be compatible with a diverse range of coupling chemistries, reaction conditions and synthesis monitoring. Automated peptide syntheses must be reliable, robust, fast, and easy to use.
Almac as a peptide CMO, has used parallel synthesizers for more than 15 years. In that time, they have developed methodology to manufacture very long and complex peptides, and during this webinar they will present some examples in this filed. More recently, they have applied automated parallel synthesizers in a GMP setting in the manufacture of clinical grade peptides for use in vaccine products.
Join our guest speaker, Dr. Alastair Hay from Almac, as he presents the advances Almac have made in using automated parallel peptide synthesizers for synthesizing long and complex peptides, and for high throughput manufacture.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how automated parallel synthesizers from Gyros Protein Technologies are used in a manufacturing setting.
- Learn how long and complex peptides are manufactured by world leading CMO.
- Understand how automated parallel synthesizers are used in the manufacture of clinical grade peptides for vaccine products.
