Ultra PurePep® Pathway "inside"- Pure reliability

The proprietary ultra PurePep Pathway is enhanced with a dedicated microfluidic matrix valve block pathway for each reaction vessel resulting in pure peptides. Nitrogen and vacuum move all fluids through the system, the membranes are resistant to harsh chemicals, there is zero dead volumes, no cross-contamination, and best-in-class performance that lasts for years. Other systems use off-the-shelf valves that leak or corrode, result in cross-contamination, and quickly fail when exposed to harsh peptide synthesis chemicals. With the ultra PurePep Pathway inside Symphony® X, all fluid deliveries are verified via optical sensors and you have reliable peptide purity every time.

Fully independent channels

Symphony X is the world’s first peptide synthesizer with fully independent channels. This means you can run different sequences, scales and protocols on multiple reactors all at the same time. Start, Stop or Pause reactors whenever you wish! It’s like having 24 synthesizers in one.

Infared (IR) heating

Efficient heating, reaching set temperature in minimal time. It is also fully-compatible with vortex mixing, so you can be sure you have an even temperature profile. Other heating systems use nitrogen mixing, which may result in hot and cold spots and effect the consistency of your chemistry.

Real-time UV monitoring

Minimize trial-and-error when synthesizing difficult peptides using the Intellisynth® real-time UV monitoring on the Symphony X instrument. What makes our UV monitoring different? Other systems just monitor the waste stream. We monitor your reaction solution while it’s mixing – that’s why we’re the only ones who can control the deprotection reaction times, not just the number of repetitions. Real-time UV monitoring ensures that reactions are completed efficiently and no excess reagent is wasted.

Preactivation

Now you can preactivate on multiple reactors in parallel. Perfect for sterically hindered amino acid additions! Optimize your DIC/HOBt chemistry on Symphony X and go straight to scale-up.

Special reagent additions

At last! Add expensive special reagents to any reactor without priming or wasting a drop using Single-Shot™ deliveries! Save money with no manual intervention required! Symphony X comes with up to 40 amino acid positions to accommodate any chemistry.

Automated cleavage

Symphony X includes the ability to do automated, fully customizable cleavage without the need for an additional module. Choose to cleave immediately (Fmoc only), at the end of a synthesis, or at a specified date and time. Cleaved peptides are collected in convenient 50 mL centrifuge vials. All Protein Technologies’ synthesizers are built with robust TFA-resistant materials, so you can cleave for years on the instruments without worry. Not interested in cleavage? You have the flexibility to use the Symphony X collection positions as additional amino acid positions.

IQ/OQ

Installation qualification and operation qualification (IQ/OQ) support services verify and document that your instrument is supplied, installed, and operating according to GPT specifications, and may be required for operating under cGMP conditions. GPT-certified field service engineers inspect critical components, ensure that your systems function properly and reproducibly during automated synthesis operations, and provide documentation to help you meet regulatory requirements.
