In this White Paper, a miniaturized, microfluidic serology immunoassay for the qualitative detection of total antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein receptor binding domain (RBD-S) in human serum using Gyrolab platform and Sino Biological reagents is described. The broad assay range of 40 ng to 200 µg/mL, low sample and reagent volumes required, and fast turnaround time of about one hour for 112 data points demonstrate clear advantages over ELISA and other plate-based formats. Remote assay setup and limited hands-on time required for assay setup are favorable for pandemic-related laboratory time restrictions.
