Development of anti-AAV assay for detection of pre-existing AAV immunity

The widespread presence of wild-type AAV viruses has led to common capsid-specific immune responses, potentially hindering AAV gene therapies. This article describes the development of an assay designed to identify pre-existing immunity and select low-responder subjects, thereby increasing transduction success and preclinical research efficiency.
